Discussion Questions

1. What does Easter personally mean to me, and how would I explain it simply to a friend? Reflect on how you would describe the cross and resurrection in everyday language.

Read: 1 Corinthians 15:3-4  “Christ died for our sins… he was raised on the third day.”

2. How confident am I in explaining why Jesus’ death and resurrection matter? Which parts feel clear, and which parts feel difficult to explain?

Read: Romans 5:8  “God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

3. Do I tend to speak first or listen first when sharing my faith? How can I use more questions to understand where others are coming from?

Read: James 1:19  “Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak.”

4. What questions could I ask to start a natural conversation about Easter? Think of 2–3 “diagnostic questions” you could use this week.

Read: Colossians 4:5-6 “Be wise… make the most of every opportunity… let your conversation be always full of grace.”

5. How can I clearly communicate both truth and hope when I talk about Jesus? Am I balancing the reality of sin and justice with the hope of forgiveness and eternal life?

Read: John 3:16-17 God sent His Son not to condemn the world, but to save it.

6. How do I respond when I don’t know the answer to a difficult question? Am I comfortable saying “I don’t know” and following it up later?

Read: 1 Peter 3:15 “Always be prepared to give an answer… with gentleness and respect.”

7.Who is one person I can have a conversation with this Easter and what is one step I will take? Pray and act intentionally.

Read: Matthew 28:19-20 “Go and make disciples of all nations…”
