What Should I Post About Easter to Reach People?

What should I Post About Easter to Reach People? What should you post on socials at Easter time to share Jesus? As a starting point, it’s good to know who you are connected with on socials. The language I use is at large chosen with specific people in mind. I want it to make sense to my audience. I want what I have to say to relate to them the best I know how. And for sure, there are ways to communicate with my audience that may not connect with say, all the 15 year old boys in the world.

I also think that humour is helpful at Easter time. Think about it. The Easter story is brutal. It’s confronting. I can remember feeling very uncomfortable when I first heard about the death of Jesus, the forgiveness of sins and how I could respond. All that to say that I like to use a bit of humour on social media to get people’s attemtion and to lighten it up.

And finally, in my mind, I want to be personable with what I have to say. I want people to see my heart, to feel connected to me as a friend not someone who is looking down or preaching at them. I want to have a friendly tone in my online voice as I post something. My beliefs which is my story is powerful. People may not agree but most people these days will respoect what you personally decide to live out. All of these things, I believe matter.

Finally, don’t expect your non-Christians friends to respond to your Easter post. Understand that, like at church, people just want to sit and listen. They don’t want to be thrown into the spotlight. Your non-christian friend will probably read your post but they may never tell you that. Trust the Holy Spirit that He is moving in their hearts and they are inching their way closer to Christ. For some who have been on the journey awhile with you, your post may just be the post that allows them to reach out to Jesus and meet Him this Easter.

This is what I posted on my socials with a very funny picture.

“All the funnies aside, what does Easter mean to you?
For me it is about the death of Jesus and how through him we can have eternal life. I actually am a believer in that God is real & wanting to be known. I do believe in a knowable God who loves me. I believe in a God who is present in my day to day life and a help in all situations. I believe in a God that gives me a moral compass in life that helps the world around me. I Unashamedly believe that God loves everyone, wants to be known by everyone and has the capacity to wipe away all regrets or wrong doings we may live with. I only wish someone had told me this when I was a teenager. So, all funnies aside and this pic is funny, Easter is a very important time of the year for me. Thankful for all that Jesus, who is a swear word for many, did today. And yes, this is why it’s called Good Friday.”

I hope this helps you craft some great posts for socials this Easter,

Every Blessing,

Tina Waldrom
