When we think about evangelism, we often focus on the person having the conversation, sharing their testimony or explaining the gospel. But what about the people praying behind the scenes? In this episode of The Win Win Evangelism Podcast, Tina Waldrom looks at the story of revivalist Charles Finney and intercessor Daniel Nash to explore an often-overlooked part of sharing Jesus: having people intentionally praying for your evangelism.
Drawing on Paul’s requests for prayer in Colossians and Ephesians, Tina explores what it looks like to pray specifically for open doors, courage, clear words and hearts that are ready to hear about Jesus. You’ll also be challenged to find your own “Daniel Nash”, ask someone to pray for your evangelism and choose three people you can intentionally pray for over the next 30 days. Because evangelism isn’t a solo effort- we pray as we share Jesus, trusting God to work through both the conversations people see and the prayers they don’t.
