1.Are you paying attention to the Holy Spirit’s gentle promptings?
Tina describes how she couldn’t stop noticing the homeless man, realising it wasn’t guilt but the gentle prompting of the Holy Spirit. Evangelism often begins when we’re willing to notice what God is drawing our attention to.

2. Who are the people that Jesus wants you to notice? Who in your everyday life may be feeling overlooked or invisible? How could God be inviting you to notice them this week?

3. What small act of obedience is God asking you to take? Do you ever hesitate because you feel you can’t do enough? What small act of kindness could you take this week that points someone towards God’s love?

4. Do you see people’s problems, or do you see people? Everything changed when Tina stopped seeing “a homeless man” and instead saw a person created in the image of God. Every individual has value because they bear God’s image. How easy is it to label people rather than truly see them? How might seeing people as God sees them change your approach to evangelism?

5. Are you serving others without expecting anything in return? Why can it be tempting to expect something back after we’ve helped someone? How can you demonstrate Christ’s love through quiet acts of generosity?

6. Who is really transformed when we show compassion? While the homeless man received one meal, Tina realised that God had transformed her own heart. Evangelism doesn’t just impact the people we serve. It changes us too. Can you think of a time when serving someone changed your own heart? What does this teach you about God’s purpose in acts of compassion?

7. What “fireworks” might be distracting you from people? The beautiful evening could easily have distracted Tina from noticing the person sitting nearby.
